Preparing for the New Year in a farmhouse of Satoyama
南部町では、日野川水系の豊富な水が多様な動植物と人々の暮らしを守ってきました。国際カップルは、町営の施設「キナルなんぶ」で川に棲息する絶滅危惧種の生態を見学。宿泊先の農家民宿「まなびや」では里山の実りを収穫し正月の準備に参加。地域住民と一緒に夕食を楽しみました。 In Nanbu Town, the abundant water of the Hinogawa River basin has protected a variety of flora and fauna and the lives of people. The international couple visited the municipal facility“Kinarunbu” to see the ecology of endangered species that live in the river. At the farmhouse inn “Manabiya” where they stayed, they harvesting fruits from the Satoyama area and participating in New Year's preparations. Enjoyed dinner with local residents.
アメリカ・ユタ州在住の国際結婚カップルが年末帰国して今回ツアーに参加 An internationally married couple living in Utah, USA returned to Japan at the end of the year and participated in this tour.
南部町では自然との共生を学べる民家への宿泊を「里山ステイ」と名付けて推進 Nanbu Town is promoting a stay in a private house called “Satoyama Stay'' where you can learn about coexistence with nature.
体験内容 Activities
農家民宿の裏山での収穫のお手伝い。原木しいたけの栽培にも水やりはかかせない Helping with the harvest on the mountain behind the farmhouse. Watering is also essential for growing shiitake mushrooms.
南部町営施設「キナルなんぶ」で国の天然記念物のオオサンショウウオを観察 Observe the giant salamander, a national natural monument, at the Nanbu municipal facility “Kinaru Nanbu”
