Experience the history and culture nurtured by HInogawa River
日野町は日野川の上流にある、歴史と風情ある宿場町。江戸時代の面影が今も残る古民家を、6人の外国人女性グループが訪問。家主からの説明に活発な質問が飛び交います。石臼を使って「きな粉作り」を交互に体験。囲炉裏でお餅を焼きながら手作りのおやつと地域交流を楽しみました。 Hino is a historic and charming post town located upstream of the Hinogawa River. A group of six foreign women visited an old folk house that still retains traces of the Edo period. The explanation from the landlord was followed by lively questions. Participants took turns trying to make soybean flour using a stone mill. While baking rice cakes in the hearth, they enjoyed homemade snacks and interaction with the local community.
6人の参加者は全員女性で、うち3名は2023年の夏に日本へやって来たばかり All six participants are women, three of whom just arrived in Japan in the summer of 2023.
「古民家沙々樹」は地域の文化拠点で国の登録有形文化財。予約すれば宿泊も可能 “Sasaki House”is a local cultural hub and a registered tangible cultural property of Japan.You can stay overnight if you make a reservation.
体験内容 Activities
古民家の縁側に座る参加者たち。家主からの説明を熱心に聴き、その後は質問攻めに Participants sitting on the porch of an old folk house. They listened intently to the landlord's explanation, and then asked questions.
石臼（うす）を使って、きな粉作りを体験。囲炉裏で焼いたお餅と一緒に美味しくいただいた Experience making soybean flour using a stone mill. It was delicious with rice cakes baked in the hearth.
